BRACEVILLE - Trumbull County sheriff's detectives were holding a 35-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman in connection with a double stabbing-robbery early Thursday at a mobile home park.
The pair barged in on two men playing video games at 136 Westgate Drive in Arhaven Estates shortly before 1 a.m., according to deputy reports.
Pleading not guilty later Thursday in Newton Falls Municipal Court were Todd Michael Smith, 35, 144 Westgate Drive, who was charged with felonious assault and aggravated robbery, and Gina Carmalita Little, 18, of the same address, who was charged with complicity to the two charges.
Both were being held Thursday in lieu of $100,000 bond each in Trumbull County Jail pending appearances at preliminary hearings March 21.
Injured in the attack were Jamie L. Stein, 33, who remained in St. Joseph Health Center on Thursday with several stab wounds, and Tim Wagner, 31, 136 Westgate, who was treated at Trumbull Memorial Hospital before being released.
Stein was identified in reports as a neighbor of Wagner's, who lives in the mobile home with a brother, Albert, 35, who was not injured in the attack.
Reports state that Smith and Little live at 144 Westgate with another woman identified as Smith's girlfriend. Deputies said that Smith and Little planned to rob the brothers.
After forcing their way into the Wagner residence, Smith, also known as ''JR,'' stabbed both men after demanding money, according to deputy reports.
Albert Wagner told police he noticed a ski mask or cap pulled from Smith's head and he recognized him as a resident of the park.
Deputies arrested Smith inside his trailer at 144 Westgate and found Little still inside the Wagners' mobile home, in a back room.
