Michelle Jarzembowski of Warren, dressed as a witch, finds her favorite cake, ‘‘Splat the Cat,’’ which was a black cat cake that was selected Thursday as the People’s Choice award winner at the fifth-annual Edible Book Art hosted by First Book Trumbull County. There were 19 entries in the event.
The fifth annual Edible Book Art event sponsored by First Book Trumbull County and Children’s Rainbow Preschool was held Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Warren.
Winners were
• First place — ‘‘How are You Peeling,’’ by students in Robin Cutlip and Angela Snelson’s PM class.
• Second place — ‘‘10 in the Bed,’’ by the Sarah Pace family
• Third place — ‘‘Dork Diaries,’’ by Lindsey Mackessy
• People’s Choice — ‘‘Splat the Cat,’’ by students in Mary Beth Townsend and Cheryl Bonini’s class
