WARREN - Alice E. Brooker, 94, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Community Skilled Health Care Centre.
She was born Aug. 12, 1918, in Bristolville, the daughter of the late Elmer D. and Lena Pfeiffer Brooker.
She was a graduate of Bristol High School and was employed with Packard Electric, retiring in 1974 after 37 years of service.
Alice was a member of Bristolville Church of the Brethren. She was very active in her church and especially enjoyed her friends within the Ladies Aid Society of the Church. Alice was known by many for the beautiful flowers and roses she grew. She took many floral arrangements to her church on Sunday mornings.
Left to cherish her memories are a sister, Agnes B. Hodge of Warren; brother, John Brooker of Champion; six nephews, William Brooker of Cortland, John Brooker of Fairfield, Calif., Donald Brooker of Westerville, Douglas Brooker of Indian Trail, N.C., Robert Hodge of Kent and Paul Hodge of Bristolville; three nieces, Linda Matheny of Warren, Nancy Brooker of Burghill and Barbara Hodge of Champion; and nine great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Howard Brooker.
Services will be held 1:30 p.m. today at Bristolville Church of the Brethren, where Pastor Frederick M. Keener will officiate. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. today at the church.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Bristolville.
The family requests any material contributions be made to Bristolville Church of the Brethren, 6400 Thompson Clark Road N.W., Bristolville, in her memory.
