CLAYTON, Ga. - Robert Bruce Smith, 93, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, in Baldwin, Ga.
He was born Oct. 17, 1919, in Youngstown, the son of Adam and Elizabeth Jamieson Smith.
Robert retired from Ohio Bell as a supervising engineer.
He served in Signal Corp during World War II, and was a lifelong Presbyterian.
Survivors include his wife, Lou Shields Smith; four children, Leslie Howe and Adam Smith of Knoxville, Tenn., Robert of Huron and Jeffrey of Grant, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Viola Grace Irving Smith, and by six sisters and five brothers.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Youngstown.
Arrangements are being held by Thompson Funeral Home in Youngstown.
