BOARDMAN - James R. Coalmer, 78, died Wednesday, March 5, 2013, at Omni Manor Nursing Home.
Jim was born Oct. 2, 1934, in Youngstown, the son of Blair and Ruth Eberman Coalmer.
He served in the U.S. Navy as an aerial photographer during the Korean War.
He worked at Koppers Co. in Youngstown, and was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Carol J. McKnight; four children, Karrie Sue Taylor of Greenford, Lorrie Lee Todd of Divide, Colo., Carlene Jean Chapella of Lexington, S.C., and Russell James of Canfield; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Jenkins of Boardman.
There will be funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Boardman. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home in Boardman and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
