MINERAL RIDGE -Dorothy Almburg, 71, entered into rest at 3:10 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, at the Vista Care Center at the Ridge following a lengthy illness.
Dorothy was born the daughter of the late Andrew and Betty Summerlin Bayus Oct. 24, 1941, in Warren, and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a 1960 graduate of Champion High School and had been employed as a waitress with the Country Corner Restaurant in Champion. Dorothy was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Warren and enjoyed her family gatherings and scrapbooking, along with spending quality time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.
Her memories will be remembered and cherished by those she leaves behind: son, Lyle D. Almburg of Cortland; daughter, Angela R. (Ryan Yoho) Almburg of Leavittsburg; sisters, Judith (Russell) Delancey of Leavittsburg and Ruth Pinter of Southington; brothers, John (Patty) Bayus of Leavittsburg, Michael (Betty) Bayus of Cortland, Robert (Debbie) Bayus of Warren, Roger (Richard Bell) of Cortland, Donald Bayus of Champion and Mark (Sherry) Bayus of Burghill; and four grandchildren, Lyle, Eric, Jeffrey Almburg and Riley Yoho.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, David Bayus Sr. and Walter Bayus; and a sister, Carol Bayus.
Memorial services will be noon Friday at the Christ Episcopal Church in Warren. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeffrey Baker.
Inurnment will be in the Christ Episcopal Church Columbarium.
