NAPLES, Fla. - James R. Schisler, 82, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013.
He was born June 13, 1930, in Warren, the son of William and Margaret Schisler. He lived there until moving to Naples in 1988.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, where he served in the 2nd Infantry Division, 72nd Tank Battalion. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star.

James retired from Packard Electric, a division of General Motors, in 1987.
After moving to Naples in 1988, he worked at the Registry Resort for 15 years. James was an avid boater and fisherman.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Carol Duncan Schisler, whom he was married to for 62 years. He was the loving father to Mark (Lisa), and a cherished grandfather to their children, Deidra, Stephanie and Kayla.
James was preceded in death by his loving son, James Schisler Jr.; as well as his parents, William and Margaret Schisler; and his brother, William Schisler Jr.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Naples Funeral Home, 3107 Davis Blvd., with services beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Burial will follow in Palm Royale Cemetery.
