GUSTAVUS - Timothy C. George, 73, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013.
He was born Dec. 19, 1939, in Cleveland, the son of Mary Brozick and Chester William George.
Tim was a graduate of Burton High School and Fenn College of Engineering with a degree in tool and die. He was an apprentice at Lincoln Electric before working at Packard Electric and moved on to General Motors of Lordstown, where he was a general foreman, and retired in 1999 after 40 years of service. Tim enjoyed a long career in tool and die at GM.

On Sept. 22, 1973, he married Barbara Ann Naylor.
He was a gentleman farmer and loved being in the quiet of the country. Tim was known as "Car Nut" and loved tinkering and building cars, which included his 1972 Chevy pickup.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Barbara A. George of Gustavus; two daughters, Heather L. (Tim) Paisley of Ravenna and Monika L. (Matt) Russell of Columbus; two stepsons, Ronald A. (Deborah) Hegedus of Mecca and Edward A. (Penny) Hegedus of Austintown; two sisters, Elaine Bringinger of Mentor and Linda (Rich) Prosek of Erie, Pa.; two brothers, Ed (Penny) George of Orlando, Fla., and Craig (Marla) George of Chardon; four granddaughters, Valerie, Kensie, Paige and Piper; and a great-grandson, Deaven.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private burial will be held in Gustavus Cemetery and services will be at the convenience of the family.
