McDONALD - John Ross Timariu, 54, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, Feb. 22, 2013.
He and his twin brother, Emil, were born July 15, 1958, to Emil and Helen Timariu.
John and his brothers and sisters grew up in McDonald. He graduated from McDonald High School in 1976.

John made a career in the restaurant industry and held several management positions in Ohio and New York. He realized his dream by opening his own restaurant, Twins Pizza, in Girard along with his brother, Emil. Their wings and pizza were loved by all in the area.
He later became a security officer at the General Motors Corp. Lordstown plant, where he has worked for the last 12 years.
He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Elaine Timariu and Emily Shehadi; brother-in-law, Richard Shehadi; nieces, Angela and Christine Shehadi; nephews, Eric and Kyle John (also godson); aunts and uncles, Victor and Anna Pacurar of New Middletown, Nicholas and Aurelia Dragosin of Baltimore and Sylvia Andrei of Catonsville, Md. He will also be sadly missed by many cousins and other relatives; his friends and co-workers at the GM Lordstown plant; and his very good friend and roommate, Michael Coates.
He was preceded in death by his father, Emil; his mother, Helen; and his brother, Emil.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with prayers at 7 p.m., Friday at McClurkin Funeral Home, 222 S. State St., Girard, OH 44420. Funeral services will be Saturday, with viewing at 9 a.m. and prayer services at 10 a.m., at St. Mark Orthodox Church, 3560 Logan Way, Youngstown, OH 44505, with the Rev. Daniel Rohan and the Rev. Andrew Gall officiating.
Interment will follow in Girard City Cemetery.
In lieu of floral arrangements, monetary donations will be appreciated.
