YOUNGSTOWN - The Mahoning County Coroner's Office confirmed that the body found Friday morning outside a Salt Springs Road building is that of an Austintown man reported missing earlier in the week.

Authorities said the man, 91-year-old James J. LaRubbio, may have frozen to death or died from natural causes. However, a ruling will not be made until after an autopsy is performed Monday, an investigator with the coroner's office said.

According to reports, police believe LaRubbio crashed his car and tried to walk up a hill by the Exterran Energy building.

Youngstown police reported that an officer on patrol about 8:40 a.m. Friday discovered a vehicle over the embankment in the field behind Exterran, 2572 Salt Springs Road.
