DESOTO, Texas - The Rev. George B. Hall, 80, formerly of Homer, La., and formerly of the Warren area, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 12, 2013, due to heart failure.
He was born Oct. 24, 1932, in Birmingham, Ala., the son of Jessie and Pinkay Dunn Hall.
George retired from General Motors Corp., Lordstown, and had pastored at First Missionary Baptist Church in Mesopotamia.
He was a member of Pearly Gate Baptist Church in Desoto.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Clara L. Hall; six daughters, Doreen Edgerson of Warren, Brenda Hazzard Lee of Dallas, Texas, Adell Fisher of Cleveland, Denise Murray Williams of Cleveland, and Susan Hunt and Kimberly Kirkland, both of Warren; four sons, Duane Tyree of Dallas, Andre Gilbert of New York, Nick Fisher of Cleveland and Bobby Hazzard of Warren; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services took place in Homer, La. Arrangements were handled by Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Homer, La.
