BROOKFIELD - The Warriors easily defeated Campbell 76-54 on Tuesday night. But the win was much more than the 17th win of the season for guard Jeremy Quinlan.
Quinlan scored 24 points and surprassed Paul Guin for the Warriors boys' all-time scoring record. Guin's record of 1,112 points had stood since 1967. Qunlan now has the record of 1,122 points and counting.
Brookfield (17-3) led 16-11 after the first quarter and extended its lead by outscoring Campbell 30-9 in the second quarter.
George Billiris scored 15 for Campbell and Charles Smith chipped in with 12.
Quinlan and the Warriors still have two regular season games left, as the start of their season was delayed due to their run in the football playoffs. The Warriors host Grand Valley on Friday and go to Pymatuning Valley on Saturday.
COLUMBIANA 53, JACKSON-MILTON 38: NORTH JACKSON - J. DeTong had a game-high 19 points, while K. Bryan added 11 as the Clippers beat the Blue Jays.
Nick Woloshak and Brandon Mitchell each added eight points to pace Jackson-Milton.
ASHTABULA EDGEWOOD 74, GRAND VALLEY 53: ORWELL - Ashtabula Edgewood had five players in double digits and cruised to its 15th win of the season.
Edgewood led 20-9 after the first quarter and never relinquished the lead.
Connor McLaughlin dropped 18 for Edgewood. Jake Vormelker led Grand Valley with 17 points.
AUSTINTOWN FITCH 35, BOARDMAN 25: BOARDMAN - In a low scoring affair, Fitch obtained its ninth win of the year.
Fitch shot just 24 percent from the field, but shot 14 of 18 from the free-throw line to help get past Boardman.
Jessie Driver led Fitch with 13 points. Dylan Bosela added 10 points for Boardman.
EAST 80, LIBERTY 50: LIBERTY - East had four scorers in double figures and picked up its 15th win against Liberty.
East (15-6) led by eight at halftime and increased its led by outscoring the Leopards 23-8 in the third quarter.
Marquis Cotton scored 22 for East. Terrell McClain and Deontay Scott each scored 17.
Liberty (9-12) received 12 points from Cameron Clark and Asim Pleas netted 11.
McDONALD 83, SPRINGFIELD 61: McDONALD - McDonald's Matt Seitz had a great shooting night and helped the Blue Devils breeze past Springfield.
Matt Seitz scored 31 points for McDonald (18-4), hitting four 3-pointers on the night. Kenny Greaver scored 19 and Stephen Politano added 16.
Eoghan Bees scored 18 for Springfield (15-6), Jared McTigue chipped in with 17 and Mark Schuler tallied 15.
GIRARD 53, BADGER 42: GIRARD - Girard tallied its 16th win in the game against Badger.
Girard led 29-17 at the half and never relinquished the lead. Girard took care of the ball, limiting itself to six turnovers
Craig Randall scored 22 and Jim Standohar poured in 12 for Girard. Brandon Bates led Badger with 16 points.
SOUTH RANGE 71, MATHEWS 64: VIENNA - South Range used the third quarter to trek past Mathews.
South Range led 30-29 at halftime and used a 24-15 third quarter to add to its lead.
Andy Morgan led Mathews with 18 points. Cobie Pratt added 13 and Wyatt Ford netted 16.
GARFIELD 47, LORDSTOWN 40: LORDSTOWN - Garfield pulled away from Lordstown with a dominating second half in a non-conference clash.
The Red Devils' Jake Jones poured in all 10 of his points in the first half to stake Lordstown to a 25-19 halftime lead. Yet, Pratt scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half, when the G-Men outscored Lordstown, 28-15.
Dustin Hajnosz led the Red Devils with 11, and Nick Johnson added 10.
