LORDSTOWN - Wilma M. Stroup, 89, of Lordstown, died at 3:15 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Laurie Ann Nursing Home in Newton Falls.
She was born Jan. 27, 1924, in Warren, the daughter of William and Lillian E. Herron Sullivan.
Wilma worked at Sears for 35 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of SCOPE and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching game shows.
She is survived by two sons, James Stroup of Lordstown and Robert Stroup of Howland; a daughter, Sandra McBride of Lordstown; five grandchildren, Hollie (Jonathon) Wallace, Brian (Justin) Stroup, Curtis (Brandy) Stroup, Robert Stroup and Thomas (Brittany) Stroup; and four great-grandchildren, Ian Wallace and Carmen Rae, Justin and Vinnie Stroup.
In addition to her husband, Ivan J. Stroup, whom she married March 4, 1942, Wilma was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Stroup; a brother, Robert Sullivan; and a grandson, Chad Bradley.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where her funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday with Elder Carson Marvin officiating.
Burial will be in Lordstown Cemetery.
