CHAMPION - Rose Mary Pollock, 86, passed away Friday afternoon, Feb. 15, 2013, at the Windsor House in Champion.
She was born Feb. 28, 1926, in Warren, the daughter of George and Anna Tomicek Palcich, and was a lifelong area resident.
Rose was a homemaker and employed at Mullee's Furniture Store and then at Ames Department Store, both as a clerk, and retired in 1991.
She loved flowers, birds and gardening. Rose enjoyed playing bingo along with doing word search puzzles.
Her husband, Joseph Pollock, whom she married Oct. 28, 1950, died Nov. 17, 1991.
She leaves behind to hold onto her memory two daughters, Linda Pollock of Champion and Mary Pemberton of Lake Worth, Fla.; two grandchildren, Jenny (Dan) Kuczler of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Corey (Kellie) Pemberton of Atlanta; two great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Will Kuczler; and a sister, Mary Brdek of Champion.
Besides her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by three sisters, Sylvia Horvath, Lena Lozner and Anna Palcich; and five brothers, Steve, Joseph, Phillip, George Jr. and John "Butch" Palcich.
There will be a funeral service held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel, Warren, with the Rev. Michael Balash officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday and 9:30 to 9:55 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at All Souls Cemetery.
