MONTROSE, Ga. -- An emergency official says several vehicles were involved in a fiery crash on an interstate in Georgia, killing at least three people.
Laurens County EMS director Terry Cobb told The Associated Press on Wednesday that emergency officials encountered fog on the way to the crash site, but it was not immediately known if fog was a factor in the wreck.
Cobb says emergency responders are still going through the wreckage following the morning crash.
Cobb says there were six vehicles on fire and there appeared to be at least two or three separate accidents involving up to 15 vehicles.
Joy Pope, a 911 operator with Laurens County, says emergency responders are working to extinguish a fire involving a tanker truck.
