WARREN - Joseph Custer, 62, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013.
He was born Sept. 22, 1950, in Masury, the son of the late Jacob and Geniva Eddinger Custer.
He was a graduate of Crestwood High School and was employed as a custodian at Crestwood School District for 35 years.
He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Windham.
He enjoyed gardening, working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, Clarence (Julie) Custer of Warren, Joseph (Charletta) Custer of Warren, Kenneth Custer of Warren and David (Brittanie) Custer of Warren; sisters, Ethel (Joe) Billotte of Clarion, Pa., Milly (Jack) Shuttleworth of Reynoldsville, Pa., Geniva McCraken of Warren and Wilma (Richard) Kanski of St. Mary, Pa., and Tracy (Daryel) Everett of Corsica, Pa; brothers, Cleveland (Connie) Eddinger of Grove City, Pa., William (Bertha) Custer of Flago, Pa., Clayton (Sheila) Roberts of Weedville, Pa., and Dean Custer of Sellings Grove, Pa.; grandchildren, April Pinto, Kimberly Custer, Christopher Perks, Patrick Custer, Dakota DeMarco, Savana Custer, Alyssa Custer, Victoria Provitt, Justin Provitt, Destani Custer, David Custer II, Lillyanna Custer, Bradley Custer and Angel Sondles; and great-grandchildren, Trevor Pinto and Fayth Perks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Kenneth Carl, Jacob and Mary.
Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, where the Rev. Richard Hose will officiate.
Friends may call from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
The family requests that material contributions be made to the funeral home to help pay his funeral expenses.
