CHAMPION - Thelma Jeanne Riley, 83, of Champion, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center.
She was born Aug. 16, 1929, in Waynesburg, Pa., the daughter of Bryan and Cora Bennington Thomas.
Thelma was employed as a baser at General Electric Ohio Lamp and retired after many years of service.
She was a member of Local 722, and enjoyed reading, working in her yard, her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Thelma is survived by her son, Kyle "Dickey" (Brenda) Riley of Warren; 10 grandchildren, Greg Marlowe, Krista Campbell, Rick, Jody and Joni Riley, Davey Wilson, Tracy and Brian Boyd, Rocky Casseday and Connie Lusher; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Hope Keck of Melborne, Fla.; and sister-in-law, Joyce Thomas of Cortland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a lifelong companion, Irving Kline in May of 1991; son, Michael Riley; daughter, Shirley Foreman; and two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Thomas.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Sprague will officiate. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday prior to the service.
