HOWLAND - Frances Stewart Anderson, 92, passed away on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland.
She was born Feb. 18, 1920, in Montgomery City, Mo., the daughter of Joseph Allen Marlow and Eula Moseley Marlow.
After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Missouri.

Frances married Carl P. Anderson on Sept. 8, 1940, and they made their home in St. Louis, later moving to Fullerton, Calif. In 2001, they moved to Shepherd of the Valley in Howland.
She was a faithful church member and volunteer, as well as a wonderful cook and homemaker. She enjoyed golfing, knitting, gardening and being with her friends and family.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Carl; daughter, Judy White of Howland; sister, Mary Ann (Bill) Niedergerke; sister-in-law, June Marlow; grandchildren, Jim White (April Luehmann) and Jennifer (Jonathan) Dove; great-grandchildren, Madeline and Daniel White, and Abigail Summers; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, James, Joe Jr. and Clifford Marlow.
The family wishes to especially thank Shepherd of the Valley and MVI Hospice for their care and kindness.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Shepherd of the Valley Chapel in Howland, 4100 North River Road, Warren, OH 44484, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in the Howland Township Cemetery.
