STRUTHERS - Hours after a Struthers man was arraigned in the death of a 14-year-old male, the boy's mother was charged.
Shain Widdersheim, 32, of Creed Street, faces charges of complicity to murder, complicity to rape, felony obstructing justice and tampering with evidence in the death of her son, Theodore A. Foltz. She will likely appear in court Friday.
Earlier in the day, Zaryl Bush, 43, of Struthers, was arraigned in Municipal Court on charges of murder and rape in the death.
Bond has been set at $1 million for a man accused of murdering a 14-year-old boy.
Detectives said Foltz had been in the hospital for more than a week with a severe head injury but police were not notified. They did not begin investigating until a couple of days later, when a relative called police and expressed concern for the boy.
Bush entered no plea at his initial appearance today in Struthers Municipal Court on charges of rape and murder
He was ordered held in the Mahoning County Jail on $1 million bond.
