YOUNGSTOWN - Carmen M. Martinez-Scacchetti, 86, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 23, 2013.
Carmen was born June 2, 1926, in Las Marias, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Manuel Cuevas and Maria Martinez.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Youngstown Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Survivors include five children, I.C. "Tarzan" Cuevas of Florida, Mary Rivera, with whom she made her home, Anna Perez of Youngstown, Edwin Cardona of Youngstown and Carmen Mendez of Las Vegas; a sister, Margie Cuevas of Puerto Rico; four brothers, Victor Cuevas and Jose Cuevas, both of Puerto Rico, Nelson Cuevas of New York and Ernesto Cuevas of Texas; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Scacchetti, and two brothers and three sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Youngstown Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church, Youngstown, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 to 10:50 a.m. Monday.
Burial will take place at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Coitsville.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Rossi and Santucci Funeral Home, Boardman.
