WARREN - Ruth Lois Durney, 84, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in St. Joseph Health Center Emergency Room.
Lois was born Nov. 29, 1928, in West Moreland, Pa., the daughter of William and Martha Stobbe Armstrong.
Lois was retired from General Electric after working 14 years, and was a member of the Champion Presbyterian Church. She was a crisis intervention volunteer with CONTACT.
She enjoyed swimming, sewing, reading, gardening and baking.
She married Roland Burt Durney on July 11, 1944; he passed away May 19, 2007.
Her memory will be remembered and mourned by those she leaves behind, three daughters, Lois Leeann Phillips of Warren, Ronda Durney of Midway, Ga., and Alita (Don) Glardon of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road N.E., Warren, where friends may call one hour prior to the service with the Rev. Rusty Cowden officiating.
Burial will be in Champion Township Cemetery.
