WARREN - Police here are looking for a lone gunman following a Wednesday night shooting and robbery of a Bristol man on the city's northeast side.

Alan M. Schweikart, 66, of Housel Craft Road, Bristol, was found in an empty lot near 170 Idylwild N.E. about 8:45 p.m. with multiple gunshot wounds to his lower extremities. He was taken to Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Police believe Schweikart was in town visiting a friend at the Idylwild address.

According to officers, Schweikart was robbed of a leather wallet with an eagle emblem on it that contained $35, an ID and a bank card.

One person has been questioned in the shooting, but there have been no arrests and no known suspects.
