YOUNGSTOWN - Testimony began today in a murder case from New Year's Day of 2011.

A Shady Run Road woman testified in the courtroom of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge John Durkin about a strange car on her street about 4 a.m. that day, hearing several gunshots and seeing a body left on a curb.

On trial is 22-year-old Daro Correa, who has addresses on Hunter Street and the Bronx, N.Y. He is accused of the death of Randy Capelli of Campbell.

Another defendant will go on trial at a later date. Jury selection was completed Tuesday and opening statements were also heard Tuesday before jurors were sent home for the evening.
