WARREN - A member of the city school board said he's sore but OK after being assaulted by an acquaintance at a funeral on Saturday.
Robert L. Faulkner, a longtime member of the Warren City School Board of Education, said on Monday that the assault "came out of nowhere" and that he did not expect it. He confirmed police reports that a man he knows assaulted him while they were both attending a funeral on Wick Street.
Faulkner said the he was "struck without provocation over a misunderstanding."
