NEWTON FALLS - Lettie L. Benich, 78, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Jonathan and Nellie Bayles welcomed the birth of their daughter Lettie on Aug. 17, 1934, in Spring Hill Township, Pa.
Joseph Benich and Lettie DeBolt were united into marriage on June 29, 1957, at St. Mary Church in Newton Falls, and from this union they had a son, Joseph Jr., and daughters Karen, April, Brenda and Darlene.
Lettie was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her husband and children, and in her spare time she was an avid sports fan especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. But above all else she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren.
Lettie was a parishioner of St. Mary and St. Joseph Church.
Memories of Lettie will be cherished and carried on by her husband, Joseph Benich Sr.; daughters, Karen (Randy) Sarber, April (Greg) Calland, Brenda Benich and Darlene Ripley, all of Newton Falls; a son, Joseph (Sherrie) Benich Jr. of Newton Falls; a brother, Don (Mary) DeBolt of Newton Falls; her sisters, Charlotte (Bob) Shaulis of Newton Falls, Jacqueline Miller of Olmsted Falls and Bonnie (Dennis) Duncan of Lordstown; her grandchildren, Kerri (Philip) Howdershelt, Megan (Bob) Fogel, Lindsay, Danielle and Alex Calland, Carlee and Luke Ripley; and her great-grandchildren Maggie, Claire and Grant.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers James, Jerry, Sam, John and Bill DeBolt; and half-sisters Geraldine Zuberoski, Betty Tucker and Hattie McFadden
Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Borowski Memorial Home, where on Tuesday, prayers will be said at 10 a.m. before the 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary and St. Joseph Church.
Lettie will be laid to rest in Newton Township Cemetery.
