Warren's Jason Kokrak shot a 3-under 69 on Friday at the Humana Challenge in La Quinta, Calif., which puts him tied for sixth place.
Overall, Kokrak is 12-under par, two strokes behind Roberto Castro and James Hahn, who are tied for the lead at 14-under par.
Kokrak shot Friday's round at the Nicklaus Course. The Challenge is played on three courses, and also includes the Palmer Course and the La Quinta Country Club.
Kokrak's day started off positive as he birdied the first hole, shot par on the next five and put in another birdie on the par-3 No. 7. However, he ended the front nine with a bogey, putting him at 1-under par.
Kokrak was 2-under par on the back nine as he birdied both No. 13 and No. 16.
The John F. Kennedy graduate came into Friday's round at 9-under par after he had five birdies and two eagles in his opening round.
Kokrak will tee off for his third round today at 8:30 a.m. PST. He will be playing on the Palmer Course with Greg Owen.
