WAXHAW, N.C. - Ronald R. Fenn, 73, passed on into the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, after fighting cancer for a number of years.
The family wishes to express their utmost appreciation to the wonderful Hospice team of Union County for making it possible for Ron to live out the rest of his time at home with his loved ones.
Ron was born the last of eight children Dec. 24, 1939, in Kinsman, the son of Ralph and Florence Fenn. His parents and siblings, Karl, Earl, Fredrick, Rosie, June, Norma and Shirley Jean, all preceded him in death.
Left to cherish the love and memory of him is his family, beloved wife of 53 years, Sandra; a daughter, Lisa (David); a son, David (Debbie); grandchildren, David Jr., Josh, Corinne, Corey and Paul; step-grandchildren, Ninoshka, Brandon and Ryan; and great-grandchild, Blake Lillian. He also leaves behind several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and one special nephew, Virgil (Marlene), who grew up with Ron more like a brother.
Ron will be cremated at Heritage Funeral Home in Indian Trail, N.C. A life celebration and memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Union United Methodist Church. Performing the service will be Rev. McKenzie Sefa and Hospice Chaplin Ken Grano.
