NILES - Charles A. ''Chuck'' Wagoner, 65, of Niles, died Sept. 20, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 19, 1947 in Olive Hill, Ky., a son of J. Dempsey and Mary Lou Greenhill Wagoner.
Chuck was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. He worked as a laborer for McDonald Steel, then worked for the family business, retiring in 2001.
He enjoyed gardening, Harley-Davidson motorcycles and spending time with his family. He was a member of AMVETS Post 101.
Chuck is survived by two daughters, Melyssa Speer of 29 Palms, Calif., and Dawn Marie Bates of West Virginia; brother-in-law, Raymond Hornyak of Warren; two nieces, Kim (Jim) Libert of Niles and Stacy (Phil) Sarros of Atlanta; a nephew, Warren (Maria) Stone of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Michael Joe Bates and Jacob and Daryl Speer; and several great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Suzanne Hornyak.
As per Chuck's wishes, cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Holloway-Williams Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles. Family and friends may call from noon till time of service.
Interment will be in Niles City Cemetery.
