FOWLER - Emily Ferry Starcher, 83, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Hospice House in Poland.
She was born April 18, 1929, in Elmira, N.Y., the daughter of Albert and Evelyn Fox Ferry.
A graduate of Braceville High School, Emily was a Trumbull County resident since 1936 and a resident of Fowler since 1971.
She was a very active member of the Twin State Auto Racing Club for many years. She also enjoyed garage sales, crossword puzzles, puzzles and her family.
Emily leaves her two sons, Hayden "Buddy" (Kim) Starcher of Farmdale and Albert "Butch" (Lisa) Starcher of Fowler; four grandchildren, Brett (Jessica) Starcher and Blake Starcher, both of Fowler and Beth Starcher and Edward Starcher, both of Farmdale; two great-grandchildren, Brett ''Bubba'' Starcher and Bailey "Myrtle" Starcher, both of Fowler; one brother, Frank; and two sisters, Mary and Dorothy, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Emily was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene W. Starcher; both parents; her stepmother; and most of her brothers and sisters.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Crown Hill Chapel in Vienna. Services will be held immediately following the visitation at 7 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family asks that any material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512.
