Lou and Diane Popovich of Andover celebrated their 50th anniversary on a Caribbean Cruise with their children and grandchildren. The couple were also honored at an intimate dinner with close friends at Leo's Ristorante in Howland.
Mr. Popovich and the former Diane White were married Dec. 8, 1962, at the United Methodist Church in Kinsman by the Rev. Paul Sells. Their attendants were Nick and Lee Popovich.
Mr. and Mrs. Popovich are both retired from Country Disposal, a business they started in 1976.

Mr. Popovich served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962.
The couple have three children, Luanne (Bob) Pifer of Pierpont, Lisa (Ken) Wells of Rootstown and Mary-Margaret (Doug) Wilson of Conneaut Lake, Pa. They also have eight grandchildren.
