CHAMPION - Marion Metea, 77, died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at her home.
Marion was born Sept. 13, 1935, in Kingwood, W.Va., the daughter of Louis and Stella Gerasimovich Bernatowicz.
Marion retired from the AVI Packard plant and was a member of St. William Catholic Church in Champion.
Survivors include a son, Michael Metea of Champion, with whom she made her home; two daughters, A.J. Metea of Worcester, Mass., and Michele Metea of Clearwater, Fla.; a grandson; six brothers, Francis Bernatowicz of Howland and Edward Bernatowicz, Joseph Bernatowicz, John Bernatowicz, Ludwik Bernatowicz and Patrick Bernatowicz, all of Kingwood; and three sisters, Rose Ann Lenhart and Toni Bernatowicz, both of Kingwood, and Theresa Spear of Hixson, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornel Metea.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Monday at St. William Catholic Church in Champion, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Champion Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Staton-Borowski Funeral Home in Warren.
