JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - Rahn Douglas Owens Sr., 57, of Coopersdale Homes, died at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at the Veterans Hospital of Pittsburgh following an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 24, 1955, in Warren, the son of Early and Marie M. Broome Owens.
Mr. Owens worked in home health care and was a member of the Peniel Ministry Church.
He served in the U.S. Marines as a private first class.
He is survived by three sons, Rahn Jr. of Sharon, Pa., Zachariah of Farrell, Pa., and Norman Lindsay of Ravenna; three daughters, Roberta Morgan of Sharon, Pa., LaRahna Owens of Warren and LaTonya York of Sharon, Pa.; four brothers, Darius of Warren, Virgil and Trevis, both of Akron, and Leonard Fonville of Warren; five sisters, Darlene Owens of Sharon, Pa., Valerie Owens and Shree Johnson of Warren, Theresa Scott of Farrell, Pa., and Fern Shaw of Warren; and 23 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Funeral services will be held at noon Monday at Community Church of God in Christ, where calling hours are one hour prior to the service. Family will also receive friends at 1802 Deerfield Ave., the home of his daughter LaRahna Owens, and at 3181 Solar Drive N.W., the home of his sister Fern Shaw.
Arrangements were handled by Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
