WINDHAM 73, LORDSTOWN 34:?WINDHAM - Windham moved to 8-1 on the season with a convincing win over Lordstown.
Windham jumped out to 19-9 lead in the first quarter, and the Bombers started pulling away in the second with a 20-point quarter. Windham's Parker Rickey led all scorers with 15 points, and Stephen Kacenski tallied 12 for the Bombers. Cameron Pozsgai got a double-double for Windham, scoring 10 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Dustin Hajnosz led Lordstown with eight points.
Windham goes for its ninth win of the season as it hosts Mogadore. Lordstown looks to rebound from the loss as they go on the road to face Southington.
AKRON MANCHESTER 36, STRUTHERS 26: STRUTHERS - In a low-scoring affair, Akron Manchester used a big fourth quarter to get past Struthers.
After getting shutout 5-0 in the first quarter, Struthers used a 13-4 second quarter to take a four-point lead at halftime. Manchester used a 16-5 fourth quarter to surpass Struthers. Peyakov had 15 points for Akron Manchester, and Dukes tallied eight points.
Ray'Quan Phifer and Kyle George both scored six points for Struthers. The Wildcats look to rebound as they face Campbell on the road Tuesday.
AKRON MANCHESTER 64, STRUTHERS 60: STRUTHERS - Akron Manchester rallied with a fourth-quarter comeback to come out on top for their eighth win of the season.
Struthers was leading by five after three quarters, and Manchester used a 19-10 fourth quarter to get the win on the road. Manchester Alex Klein's scoring efforts were the difference in the game as she posted 27 points, making five threes in the process. Karley Daugherty had 17 points for the Panthers, Kayci Krzynowek added 12.
McKenna Shives was the leading scorer for Struthers, pouring in 17 points. The Wildcats had three other players in double-digits. Ashleigh Ryan chipped in with 16, Ashley Hefferon scored 13, Brittaney Zupko scored 11.
BRISTOL 68, MINERAL RIDGE 50: MINERAL RIDGE - Bristol jumped out to a early 10-point first quarter lead and to went on to get its eighth win of the season.
Bristol's Ally Jones posted a double-double with 21 points and 19 rebounds. Jones also had seven blocks for the Panthers. Jones is 10 points away from scoring 1,000 total for her career. Kylie Stoneman scored 19 points for the Panthers. Jones will try to go for 1,000 total points tonight as they face Pymatuning Valley at home.
Alyssa Harkins had a solid offensive game for Minera Ridge, scoring 19 points. Adrianna Reese chipped in with 10 points for the Rams.
BOARDMAN 63, WARREN HARDING 36: BOARDMAN - The Spartans used an impressive second quarter to pull away from the Raiders Wednesday night.
Following a first quarter in which both teams combined for 16 points, Boardman dropped 20 points on Harding (2-8) to take 20-point lead into halftime. From there, the Spartans cruised to the win.
Boardman had three players in double figures, with E. Gibbs scoring a game-high 16 points to lead the way. Moesha Parks paced the Raiders with eight points.
