CORTLAND - Julia Love-Miller, 57, passed away Monday afternoon, Dec. 31, 2012, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
She was born Dec. 29, 1955, in Greenville, Pa., the daughter of Theodore "Ted" and Sylvia Hall Black.
A 1975 Badger High School graduate, she retired from General Electric Niles Glass Plant after 30 years as a hiker. She then worked as a parking attendant at the Youngs-town Regional Airport.
She was a member of the Hartford Community Church. She also belonged to the Women of the Moose Mecca Lodge.
She enjoyed egg artistry, stamping, making cards, camping, boating and flower gardening.
Julia is survived by her husband, Christopher P. Miller Sr., whom she married June 29, 2002; two daughters, Stephanie (Daniel) Dunn of Indianapolis and Vanessa Love of Cortland; a stepson, Christopher Miller Jr. of Howland; two grandchildren, Parker Dunn and Sophia Ann Miller; her mother, Sylvia Black of Hartford; and a brother, David (Marsha) Black of Kent, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Kim and Mark Black.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hartford United Methodist Church, 6846 state Route 305, Hartford. There will be a time of gathering and visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, prior to services.
Arrangements were entrusted to Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home in Hartford.
