KINSMAN - Carrie Marie Fleming, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Meadowbrook Manor of Hartford after an extended illness.
A lifelong Kinsman resident, she was born Sept. 21, 1930, in Kinsman, the daughter of Hattie May (Clark) and George Hugh Gilmore.
Mrs. Fleming was a 1949 graduate of Kinsman. As a young lady, she helped her mother at the Kinsman Colonial Tea Room for many years and later worked at the former Ohio Lamp.
On Jan. 20, 1952, she married Kenneth A. Fleming.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren of Bristol.
Mrs. Fleming was quick to stop at any yard and garage sale, and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She cared for her multitude of house plants and gardens and was known to love and care for her pets.
Survivors include two daughters, Marlene M. (David) Waters of Andover and Ardena K. Sines of Cortland; a son, Donald E. (Angel) Fleming of Kinsman; four grandchildren, Rhonda, Patricia (Bill), Dion (Jennifer) and Carrie May (Shawn); and seven great-grandchildren, Kyle, Christoper, Cory, Kaylee, Ta, Elizabeth and Kathrine.
Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Kenneth; a sister, Lila Wahl; and two brothers, Howard and Fern Gilmore.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Baumgardner Funeral and Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, where calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Brethren of Bristol.
