YOUNGSTOWN - Police say a man was shot by someone in a passing car about 6:30 p.m. on an East Side street.
A police spokesman said the 59-year-old man, who police did not identify, was walking down Shehy Street when he was shot in the arm and side.
The man then walked into a store and told the employees he had been shot. They then called 911, the spokesman said.
The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center. Police searched the area but could find no sign of the car, the spokesman said.
