MAYHEM EVENT FOR WINTER BREAK: A "Winter Break Mayhem" will be held Wednesday and Thursday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren. There will be crafts, movies and other activities for children.
MENTORS NEEDED FOR PROGRAM: The YWCA of Warren, Valley Counseling and Project Gridiron are in need of adult mentors for the 2012-13 school year. Mentors are needed for students in seventh to 12th grade at Warren schools. Mentors meet once a week. Background checks will be done. A small allowance will be given to offset activity costs. COATS NEEDED FOR WINTER: The annual Coats for Kids campaign is underway providing winter coats for children who may not be able to afford to get something warm for the winter months. Monetary donations are needed for the effort and can be sent to the Girard First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St., which is working with the Girard schools on the effort.
