Charles L. Villers 1937-2012

WARREN - Charles Lee Villers, 75, died at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at Cortland Health Care Center.

He was born March 22, 1937, in Warren, the son of the late Edwin and Edna Parsons Villers.

Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and achieved the rank of staff sergeant. He was an appliance repairman and was of the Protestant faith.

He is survived by his sister, Patricia (Glen) Grim of Leavittsburg; two daughters, Monica (Charles) Gwin of Fowler and Sheri Young of Warren; two sons, Charles E. Villers of Cortland and Chris (Tonya) Villers of Anchorage, Alaska; a stepdaughter, Debbie Brooks of Dayton; and a stepson, Morris (April) Brooks of Leavittsburg. In addition, Charles has 29 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren surviving.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one stepson, Rodney Brooks.

A memorial service with military honors will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Dickson to officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from noon to 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery, Southington.

The family requests material contributions be made to Southern Care Hospice, 5401 Ashley Circle, Austintown, OH 44515, in his memory.
