BRISTOLVILLE - Bristol jumped out to an early lead, with the help of seven first-half 3-pointers, to defeat Lordstown in a Northeastern Athletic Conference victory, 59-43.
The Panthers had a 18-10 lead after the first quarter, but the second quarter was when they clinched the game. Bristol outscored Lordstown, 17-2. The Red Devils only two point came from free throws in that quarter.
The seven 3s from Bristol came from Chad Oliver, Zeth Tomasiak, Jake Jones with two and Brandon Lee had three. Lee and Oliver led all scorers with 18 points each. Oliver also had 11 points. Bristol is now 5-0 (3-0).
Lordstown, which fell to 2-5, was led by Nick Johnson's 14 points.
SHARON 62, URSULINE 53: SHARON - Urusline made a furious comeback but dug itself too deep a hole against Sharon Wednesday night.
The Irish (0-6) struggled on offense early, scoring four points in the first quarter, but Ursuline clawed back in the fourth by dropping 24 points. The Tigers (2-2) kept pace, though, allowing the deficit to point to nine points by the end.
Ryan Strollo led the Irish with 23 points, and Desmond McElroy added 14 points. Urusline returns to action on Dec. 28 in the East Liverpool Tournament.
JACKSON-MILTON 56, HEARTLAND CHRISTIAN 20: COLUMBIANA - Rebecca Jones had 16 of her game-high 24 points in the second and third quarters as the Blue Jays rolled past the Lions.
Ginny Burgess led Heartland Christian with nine points and had the game's only 3-pointer.

SOUTHEAST 68, GARFIELD 45: PALMYRA - Brittany Butcher exploded from beyond the arc to lead the Pirates to a Portage Trail Conference, County Division win.
Butcher drained six 3-pointers and recorded a game-high 22 points for Southeast (6-1, 5-0 PTC, County). She started off both halves hot, going for eight points in the first and third quarters.
Jackie Tabor paced the G-Men (4-3, 3-2 PTC, County) with 11 points, eight of which came in the first quarter.
URSULINE 45, MOONEY 44: YOUNGSTOWN - The Irish hit a buzzer-beater for a win over Cardinal Mooney Wednesday night.
With six seconds remaining, Ursuline's Syndey Beasley dribbled length of floor before getting triple-teamed. She passed to Beacham, who hit a layup at the buzzer for the win.
Beasley led the Irish (3-5) with 19 points, while Beacham added 15 points. Jamie DiDomenico paced the Cardinals (2-4) with 14 points.
SPURIO DOES?WELL?IN?CANTON: CANTON - During Saturday's Christmas Invitational, Hubbard High School sent four individuals - Joe Spurio, Spencer Ladig, Robbie Dixon and Julia Castner.
It is regarded as one of the fastest meets in the state of Ohio, taking place at the C.T. Branin Natatorium.
Spurio, who advanced to last year's Division II state meet, made the consolation heat in the 200 IM and placed 16th. He made the final heat in the 100 butterfly and placed seventh.
