The Marantz Picturebook Collection in the Kent State University School of Library and Information Science has an almost complete Caldecott Award and Honor Book Collection.
Dr. Carolyn Brodie said the collection contains copies of all 75 award books and 215 of the 234 honor books and are missing only 19 of the honor books, all with copyright dates of 1960 and before.
She said for research and study purposes it would be useful to have the complete collection of Caldecott Honor Books.
"Though many research studies have been conducted on the Caldecott Award books, there have been few studies on the Honor Books," she said.
Any library or individual with a copy of one or more of the Caldecott Honor Books to donate to the Marantz Collection, email Dr. Carolyn Brodie at cbrodie@kent.edu or send to Marantz Picturebook Collection/Caldecott Project, Kent State University, School of Library and Information Science, 314 Library, 1125 Risman Drive, Kent, 44242-0001.
