EUCLID - Up by one point going into the fourth quarter, the Raiders couldn't hold on to the lead and suffered their first loss of the season to Lake Erie League foe Euclid, 76-68.
Harding led, 50-49, going into the fourth, but the Panthers outscored the Raiders 27-18. In the fourth quarter, Euclid was 11 of 12 from the free-throw line.
Harding, which fell to 2-1, was paced by King Garner's 16 points. Osha Jackson scored 11.
VILLA ANGELA-ST. JOSEPH 71, JOHN F. KENNEDY 33: CLEVELAND - The Vikings jumped to a 20-4 lead that the Eagles couldn't rebound from, en route to a North Coast League loss on Friday night.
VA-SJ didn't make it easy for Kennedy to recover, as it shot 30 of 49 from the floor.
The Eagles (1-3, 0-1) were led by Dominic Naples' 16 points.
LORDSTOWN 54, MATHEWS 36: LORDSTOWN - Mathews had the slim first-quarter lead, but Lordstown started their comeback in the second quarter to pick up its first win of the season.
The Mustangs led 13-9 after one, but the Red Devils rallied to take a 24-18 lead at the half.
Tommy Sharp and Wyatt Ford both led Mathews with eight points each.
Lordstown, which improved to 1-4 on the season, was paced by Nick Johnson's 18 points. Jake Jones added 15.
LEDGEMONT 50, BLOOMFIELD 34: THOMPSON - Led by Derek Lang's 14 points, Ledgemont picked up the Northeastern Athletic Conference victory Friday against Bloomfield.
The scoring started off slow. But a 25-19 third quarter, in favor of Ledgemont, picked the game up.
Bloomfield, which fell to 1-4, was paced by Coty Turner's 11 points.
MAPLEWOOD 62, BADGER 40: MECCA - A big second quarter was the difference for Maplewood as it defeated Badger in a Northeastern Athletic Conference showdown.
The Rockets trailed by one going into the second, but came out in the second and outscored the Braves 22-5. Solomon Yoder and Ethan OBradovich each had six points in the second.
Maplewood (3-3) was led by Luke Urchek's 13 points.
Badger, which fell to 1-3, was paced by Matt Kraml's 13 points.
HUBBARD 52, FITCH 44: AUSTINTOWN - The Falcons dug themsevles too deep a hole to climb back out of in their loss to Hubbard.
Fitch (2-2) scored two points in the first quarter, which gave the Eagles (1-2) an 11-point lead going into the final three quarters.
Hubbard's Jordan Thompson paced all scorers with 18 points, while Jessie Driver led Fitch with 17 points.
CAMPBELL 53, LAKEVIEW 47: CAMPBELL - Aaron Jackson and George Billiris each had 14 points to lead the Red Devils past the Bulldogs.
Brandon Bensing paced Lakeview (1-4) with 13 points, while Erich Schmitt added 10.
Campbell improved to 2-4.
MINERAL RIDGE 62, SOUTH RANGE 53: MINERAL RIDGE - The game was tight when South Range led 17-15 after the first quarter, but Mineral Ridge outscored the Raiders 27-13 in the secord and carried the momentum to a victory.
Zac Hagy had the hot hand for Mineral Ridge. Hagy scored 24 points for the Rams and added 11 rebounds and seven assists. Brandon Perkins added 15 points for the Rams and Nathan Palmer poured in 12 points. The Rams' Ryan Nutter was a defensive threat with 11 blocks in the win.
Garrett Anderson was the leading scorer for the Raiders, dropping 14, and Tyler Beverly chipped in with 13.
NEWTON FALLS 55, GIRARD 47: NEWTON FALLS - Newton Falls got its first win of the season with a victory over Girard in an All-American Conference, National Division, matchup.
Dale Kernen's 22 points for Newton Falls (1-3) helped solidify their first win of the season. Jim Standohar led Girard (2-2) with 12 points, while Craig Randall and Tyler Kilbourne chipped in with 10 points each for the Indians
MCDONALD 91, WESTERN RESERVE 47: BERLIN CENTER - McDonald shot a sizzling 61-percent from the field and remained undefeated with a victory over Western Reserve.
McDonald's Matt Seitz was the big shooter as he scored 38 points. Stephen Politano added 22.
Western Reserve's Nick Tobin led the way with 22 points.
WINDHAM 73, ROOTSTOWN 28: WINDHAM - The Bombers dominated the Rovers from start to finish in this Portage Trail Conference, County Division matchup.
Windham shot 56.2 percent from the field for the game and hit five shots from beyond the arc. The Rovers, meanwhile, struggled shooting, going 12-39 from the field.
Four Bombers broke into double-digits scoring, inculding senior Matt Knight notching a game-high 18 points.
LOWELLVILLE 70, SEBRING 26: LOWELLVILLE - The Rockets jumped all over the Trojans early and cruised to big win in an Inter Tri-County League, Lower Tier, game.
Nick Ballone posted 11 of his game-high 22 points in the first quarter, and Paolo DePasquale scored all 10 of his points in the quarter, as Lowellville poured 50 points in the first two quarters. The Rockets held Sebring to just five points in the first half.
CANFIELD 52, STRUTHERS 34: STRUTHERS - Canfield came out the gate early with a 14-5 lead over Struthers in the first quarter and broke away with a 18-point victory over Struthers.
Prjyma scored 17 points for Canfield and Vrabel added 10 points for the Cardinals. Ray'Quan Pfifer led the scoring attack for Struthers with 15 points. Canfield is scheduled to play on Tuesday, going on the road to play Campbell. Struthers seeks a win as they host Poland on Tuesday.
