LIBERTY - Kenneth Robert Burton, 75, died at 11:40 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
He was born April 30, 1937, in Warren, the son of the late Kenneth Ray and Florence Elizabeth Thompson Burton.
A 1955 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Ken was a retired foreman at Republic Steel, where he worked for 32 years. He also owned and operated the Hitching Post in Vienna.
Some of his memberships included the Warren Moose, Vienna AMVETS, Warren NAUS Club and the Warren VFW. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, cooking and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Wiscott Pratt-Burton, whom he married on Dec. 20, 2002; his children, Kenneth Richard (Donna) Burton of Canfield, Sharon L. (Charles) Drummond of Niles, Jeannette M. (Kevan) Draa of Vernon and Sandra D. (fiance Chris Houchen) Burton of Warren; one stepson, David (Nicole) Pratt of Austintown; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Other than his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his brothers, Lanny R. and James A. Burton; his sister, Gloria Rowland; and one great-grandson.
Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Jim Dittmar celebrating Ken's life.
Burial will be at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
