CINCINNATI -- University of Cincinnati students got warnings to stay inside after two weekend incidents in which shots were fired near the main campus.
No injuries were reported. Campus police received a report of gunshots near a dormitory early Sunday, and a voice alert message to ``shelter in place'' was activated. Less than an hour later gunshots were reported near University Park Apartments. Students there got a text alert.
Meanwhile, a student was robbed at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say three males took his wallet, keys and cell phone. The student wasn't hurt.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the incidents come as some students have become increasingly concerned about crime on and around the campus.
