NOVI, Mich. - Nina Slovan Dvornek, 68, died Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 4, 2012, at her residence.
Nina was born Nov. 21, 1944, in Sharon, Pa., the daughter of Paul and Catherine Marie Hoza Slovan.
She retired from Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. in Connecticut as an engineer, and was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Novi, Mich.

She is survived by her father, and her brothers and sisters, Ronald of Tuscon, Ariz., Bernard of Novi, Mich., Michael of Houston, Carol Lyons of Boardman, James of Macedonia, Margaret Houston of Boardman and Charles of Canton.
Nina was preceded in death by her mother, a sister and a brother.
There will be a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Church in Boardman, with viewing in the chapel at 9:30 a.m. Family and friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home in Boardman.
