YOUNGSTOWN - As technology grows, so does the means for people to commit fraud against others, said the head of the state attorney general consumer protection squad.
Sandy Lynskey told an audience attending a forum on fraud at the Newport Branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County today that her office is seeing far more sophisticated scams over the past few years.
"We've been amazed at the creativity of the scammers," Lynskey said.
Lynskey said when Attorney General Mike DeWine took over the office, he wanted to focus on investigating fraud complaints.
