WARREN- Thomas Roy "Stretch" Carlton, 76, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Maplewood Care Center in Streetsboro.
He was born Nov. 5, 1936, in Warren, the son of Ralph Carlton and Minnie Ainsworth Carlton.
Tom was a member of the Christian faith and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served from 1956 to 1960. He was a member of the Ohio Carpenters Local 171 since 1965. He was a selfless person and through the course of his life, he donated more than 2.5 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross. Tom will always be loved and missed by his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Sandra J. Henley Carlton, whom he married on July 5, 1960; his children, Debra (Randall) Williams of Hudson, Iowa, Tammy (Bob Stammper) Hamilton of Leavittsburg and Ralph T. Carlton of Warren; his grandchildren, Matthew (Kimberly Fritz) Carlton of Warren, Craig Schwartz, Cassie Ohl of Akron, Harley Hoagland of Warren, Cory Williams of Iowa, and Dana Williams of Iowa; and a great-grandchild, Brooklyn Carlton of Warren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas R. Carlton Jr.
Per Tom's wishes, there will be no services or calling hours. "May all remember him as he was, and that he rest peacefully with Our Father in Heaven." Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
