Several nights ago, our daughter was in a horrible, single-car accident in which she flipped over multiple times and hit a tree, landing upside down.
Thank goodness she was wearing her seatbelt, as I'm sure she would not still be with us. My concern is that of all the wonderful emergency personnel who helped save my daughter's life, no one bothered to notify her mother or myself that she was in an accident.
I'm sure the responding officer ran a license plate number and found out the car was registered to me, a mid-40s male, and a teenage girl was driving. I would think I would get a call telling me that my car was involved in an accident.
After my daughter didn't come home and I drove all over looking for her, my wife in a desperate plea posted her missing on Facebook only to have a friend call me and tell me she was in the hospital.
Very disturbing that a lot of people knew my daughter was in an accident assuming we would already know and we never got a call from anyone, not even the hospital. I would really like some answers and I would hope that this is not common practice.
Thank goodness our daughter pulled through this, but it could have been much, much worse.
