Holiday parade set in Hubbard

HUBBARD TO HOST PARADE: The annual Holidays in Hubbard Christmas parade will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at Harding Park and will feature local clubs, organizations and businesses. The Holidays in Hubbard Trolley Tour will be held Saturday starting at the McConnell Plaza. Cost is $5.

CENTER TO?HOLD COIN EVENT: The OH?WOW!?Roger and Gloria Jones Children's Center for Science and Technology in downtown Youngstown will hold its international currency coin rubbings from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday for children in grades kindergarten to fourth. Children will compare and contrast money by making rubbings of coins.

"WIMPY KID" PARTY: The Cortland Library Branch will hold a "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" party for children in grades third to sixth at 5 p.m. Tuesday. For information, call 330-299-8120.

COAT COLLECTION BEING HELD: The third annual Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Mahoning Valley is holding their annual give-a-coat campaign in Trumbull County. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Warren Family Mission, Elm Road, Warren. The campaign will provide $20,000 in free winter coats for underserviced children in the tri-county area. To register call Cheryl at 330-207-1903. FOUNDATION TO HELP FOOD BANK: The Grainger Foundation has donated $10,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley in support of the fourth annual McDonald Lions Club 5K Feed the Need Run. The check was to be presented before the race this weekend in McDonald. Funds will be used to distribute food to more than 150 hunger-relief organizations in Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties. The Grainger Foundation, was established in 1949 by William W. Grainger, founder of W.W. Grainger Inc.
