NILES - David James Callard, 69, of 425 Seneca St., Apt. 318, formerly of Clay Street, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at his residence.
David was born July 26, 1943, in Youngstown, the son of David and Helen Cera Callard.
A 1961 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, he attended the William Rayen School of Electrical Engineering, and was a self-employed painter and welder.
A member of the VFW Post 2074 and the AMVETS Post 101, he enjoyed fishing, baseball, football, cooking and gardening.
He is survived by his daughter, Christine "Tina", and his grandsons, Chad and Ron, all of Niles, and his sister, Charmaine (Doug) Jones of Girard.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Dikun, and his pet German shepherd of nearly two decades, Lady
There are no calling hours. Private burial services will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warren.
Arrangements and care has been entrusted to the Robert P. McDermott Memorial Home.
