Wed 11:45 a.m.: Youngstown court doesn't need third judge

The Mahoning County Bar Association says the Youngstown Municipal Court does not need to add a third judge.

At a press conference this morning, Shirley Christian, bar association president, said operating with two judges would save money as well as align the court with the city's shrinking population.

The recommendation comes after an extensive study.

The court has been operating with only two judges since former Judge Robert Douglas retired this summer.
